In Bulandshahr district, the Uttar Pradesh Police have successfully apprehended a group of individuals belonging to an exam solvers gang.
This gang was notorious for aiding cheating during government job examinations. During the operation, a total of eight gang members were arrested, along with three candidates who had availed their services. The arrested individuals belong to Aligarh, Mathura, and Hathras.
The solvers’ gang had a specific modus operandi, which involved impersonating candidates by using forged documents during the examinations. They would charge exorbitant fees, reaching up to lakhs of rupees, from candidates who sought their assistance in passing the exams.
Two individuals among those who were apprehended have been convicted of fraud in the Preliminary Eligibility Test (PET). They managed to gain access to the examination center by using counterfeit documents. Ramesh Singh, the Principal of Chhatrapati Shivaji Saraswati Vidya Mandir Inter College, lodged a fraud complaint at the Kotwali Dehat police station, which prompted the police to conduct an investigation and make subsequent arrests.
The inquiry uncovered that Rajkumar, also known as Pandit, and his accomplices ran a highly organized group of individuals who provided solutions for papers. This group would demand money from candidates in order to guarantee success in different government job exams. The gang specifically focused on exams like the Post of Assistant Operator UP, Civil Police Constable, Police Radio Operator, Haryana’s BSF GD Recruitment, Lekhpal Recruitment, and Railway Recruitment, whether conducted online or offline.
The group demanded a fee of Rs 6 lakh from each candidate for the exam, requiring an upfront payment of Rs 2 lakh prior to the examination. Kuldeep, Pawan, and Rohit, who were scheduled to take the radio operator recruitment exam in UP, were apprehended by the police. These individuals had already made the advance payment, which was seized by the authorities upon their arrest.
The recent apprehension of the gang involved in supplying paper solvers to candidates using counterfeit admit cards for government job exams, as highlighted by Shankar Prasad, SP of Bulandshahr, demonstrates the commitment of law enforcement agencies in upholding the credibility of such examinations and combating deceitful activities in the recruitment procedure.
