Revanth Reddy scripted history in Telangana with his remarkable leadership and unwavering determination

Revanth Reddy has successfully guided the Congress Party to a historic win in Telangana, marking their first victory since the formation of the state.

The BRS Government has actually done some decent work on the ground since 2014, but unfortunately, they didn’t have a chance to continue. People used to say that the Congress party had no presence in Telangana until recently, but all of a sudden, they managed to come into power. So, how did this sudden change occur? Well, it’s a combination of BRS’s downfall and the Congress party making the most of the opportunities that came their way. The downfall of BRS began right after the 2018 election when KCR didn’t form a cabinet for almost three months. This action seemed like an insult to the voters and showcased KCR’s arrogance. As a result, the electorate responded by delivering a shocking outcome in the Lok Sabha election.

Despite that, KCR didn’t learn a thing. Even though the public’s anger was evident, he continued to act arrogantly. The Chief Minister remained secluded in Pragathi Bhavan or the Farm House, completely out of reach for the people. Despite setbacks like Dubbaka and Huzurabad, the Chief Minister didn’t pay attention. The Rythu Bandhu and Dalit Bandhu schemes were supposed to be game-changers for BRS. However, the Rythu Bandhu scheme only made the rich even richer. People couldn’t accept the fact that even those with 1000 Acres were receiving government assistance. The Dalit Bandhu scheme was the final blow. Every Dalit Family was promised 10 Lakh Rupees Assistance, but due to the large amount, not all Dalits could be helped, which hurt the remaining Dalits. Moreover, the poor from other castes were angry that there were no similar schemes for them. As a result, the scheme only pleased a few and left many others angry. Even then, KCR didn’t feel threatened. The BJP seemed like a threat, but their lack of presence in most parts of the state made KCR overconfident. No one took Congress seriously until the Karnataka elections happened.

The Karnataka results brought a tremendous boost to the Telangana Congress. Suddenly, there’s a growing belief among the people that Congress can actually emerge victorious. In this crucial moment, Revanth Reddy seized the opportunity with both hands. We witnessed him tirelessly touring the state, connecting with the people in various ways. Congress strategically crafted their campaign to reach out to those who were neglected during the BRS regime. Revanth Reddy struck a chord with students, unemployed individuals, and those preparing for the Groups. Congress formulated an appealing manifesto, highlighting the Six Guarantees, which resonated with those who benefited from KCR’s schemes. The general anti-incumbency sentiment after 10 years, KCR’s aloofness, KTR’s arrogance, the yearning for change, and Revanth Reddy’s campaign as a viable alternative all contributed to transforming the state’s environment. TRS rebranding itself as BRS and presenting KCR as “Desh Ki Neta” only added to their arrogance in the eyes of the people. When you disregard Telangana, the very reason for your existence, trouble is bound to come knocking.

In a surprising turn of events, BRS’s reliance on Congress promises and the decision to retain old MLAs proved detrimental to their campaign. Reports of corruption and inaccessibility among local leaders further alienated them from the public. Meanwhile, Revanth Reddy seized the opportunity, showcasing remarkable leadership. Party seniors’ self-interest allowed him to emerge as the state’s leader. Chandrababu Naidu’s arrest and the mishandling of the Medigadda Barrage incident worked in favor of Congress. Actions in Khammam district weakened BRS, while Sunil Kanugolu’s viral campaign painted a positive picture for Congress. In the end, Revanth Reddy’s long-standing battle against BRS culminated in a well-deserved victory, positioning him as a likely Chief Minister. His resilience against a powerful government since 2015 is finally paying off.”
